| Hyaluronic
Acid also known as HA, is a natural substance found in large quantities
in young skin, but diminishes significantly as we age as an example,
a 50-year old person has less than 48% Hyaluronic Acid within their
skin than they did in their youth. The space between each of our
skin cells is composed of water, proteins, and Hyaluronic Acid
thereby forming a jelly-like complex. This complex is necessary
for the transport of essential nutrients from the blood stream
to the cells of the skin. Applying HA increases the natural balance
of this complex and improves the transport efficiency of essential
nutrients to the skin. HA is also an extremely effective moisturizer
that will absorb up to 1000 times its molecular weight in water,
enabling it to continue to absorb water into the skin from the
air hours after you apply it. |
