WORDPRESS |
|
 |
A new WordPress website for CTS using a very complex responsive Wordpress theme (child theme) and optiontree. This site has many custom-coded admin features and nearly complete control over the layout. There are over 100 pages of content, custom grid pages and customized css to suit.
|
 |
This is a WordPress website for a commercial and residential solar panel installation company. I used the latest free WordPress theme that came with WordPress and customized it with everything I could find, especially colors and the menu, but he really wanted something more corporate looking. The site looks so amazing, though. |
 |
This is a website for WordPress site based on the original design. Then, she requested a static site be created from another design, with new content. After that, the client didn't understand why she couldn't edit the site from her hosting control panel, so I converted the new site over to WordPress, created the template, built a customized form, and added and configured about a dozen plug-ins. |
 |
This is a WordPress site built to suit for a writer of articles related to getting more internet traffic. Custom layout, images and CSS were used, in addition to custom coding for some of the functions she wanted. All articles were input by me, as well as adding links to the multi-part articles so the user could simply click to go to the next one in the sequence and not have to go back to the list. I truly enjoy working with WordPress. |
WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT |
|
 |
This is an osCommerce store built for a new clothing line coming
out this summer. It has a totally customized design and layout, meta
tag control, template system, discount coupons, wishlist, custom
contact form, updated sitemap, robot file, fancy invoicing, fancy
html emails and more. |
 |
This is a website for a new fuel saving cylinder that recycles fumes,
increasing gas
mileage significantly. |
 |
This is a brochure site for a massage therapist to list her services,
prices, set appointments, etc. I paid extreme attention to all details
of this layout, even down to the contact form. |
 |
This is a website for a book-sales campaign, combined with newsletters
and direct mail pieces. This website allows users to download free
large versions of the book's forms to print out and use at home.
There
are also exercises to practice and a variety of other free self-help
information. I created the forms and figures for this book. |
WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT ONLY |
|
 |
This osCommerce store
was added to match the site perfectly and has many
contributions installed as well as some
custom programming to enhance the control panel.
Now the client has complete control
over all aspects of his store, and can export all orders into quickbooks
for easy accounting. I also handle Constant Contact mailings for
this site. |
 |
This osCommerce store
was customized to match their design and the shopping cart was edited to add a guest account and gift certificates, new fields were added, pages to finalize purchase minimized and bugs were fixed, among other things.
Summary: Installed Guest Checkout / 1-Page Checkout on site modified the css and layout to match existing site design, added icons from the client and appropriate text messages, and modified code. Everything was done within osCommerce specifications. |
 |
This is actually a PrestaShop store that was built by the client. I had to import products, which was extremely complicated for just a small amount of products. He wanted them to be in parent, child and other categories/sub-categories, so I had to create all those. I think maybe the shop was broken but he didn't want to start fresh, so I had to work with what was there. I did get to change the colors to suit my preferences more, and although it's not a spectacular site, it's far better than it was at first, and it's still up after all these years!
Summary: A website for wooden products or the kits to make them. This has very few products but the migration was a bit complex because of the way PrestaShop sets up its categories and the client had products in several categories. His son makes all the products, and so this is a family business venture for both income and learning potential. |
 |
This is an osCommerce store built around the main character of
a new children's book. The store was designed to match the main site
exactly so that it integrates seamlessly. It processes using QBMS,
exports orders to quickbooks, includes a template system and discount
coupons. |
 |
This was a very old version of osCommerce with a generic storefront.
The client had a new design made but did not want to keep her existing
store. I installed a new version of osCommerce, implemented
the design and added several modules to customize payment and shipping. |
 |
This is a business directory site completed with the phpmydirectory
script. It involved a lot of custom coding to change the layout and
the functionality that the client desired. It has a tremendous backend
and could offer a great deal more functionality, especially as a
true directory, but right now it has just begun and will evolve as
the client sees fit. |
WEBSITE REDESIGN |
|
 |
This is a redesign of a website with absinthe information and accessories. |
 |
This is a complete redesign of mapshops.com
world maps page with mousovers
(popups) for the map icons on the right. The client asked me to code
one link from the left and he wanted to do the rest himself. He currently has
a 2,000-page site built in frontpage that he did himself, and he is eager to
learn to use Dreamweaver. |
 |
This is a redesign of entire site and addition of custom quote forms.
After the site was finished, I designed his osCommerce store to match
exactly, repaired his database and moved the site to a new host
(me!). |
 |
This was a huge flash file that had to be converted into html with
flash elements. It was quite difficult because the file did not use
objects for buttons, etc., and so they had to be cut from a flat
layout. Luckily I'm good with image work. |
DESIGN CONCEPTS |
|
 |
This was a redesign concept done in April '09 for a California store
that sells shoes, handbags and the like. They had already chosen
a designer and recently told me the site was finished, but it does
not appear to be live yet. It is also possible they are having difficulty
letting go of their original storefront after becoming attached to
it. |
 |
This is a set of concepts for a site redesign. The client was unsure
what his client wanted and could not communicate effectively. I do
love this look and will use it at some point. If you like it, too,
let me know! |
 |
This is a set of concepts for a vintage clothing site. Like some
people, they decided to let their friend handle the design. I don't
think their site is up yet and it's been a few years. Oh well.
I like
these a lot and would like to use them somehow. The colors are really
nice. |
 |
This design is for a British courier service, which was just an
idea in someone's head. I don't think he actually had started the
company yet. He wanted a very specific color scheme and a very simple
layout. |
 |
ALMEDA ONLINE COLLEGE
Not Online
This is a redesign of a website for an online college. The client
paid a number of designers to send him layouts, and mine was chosen
second, so it was not used. They did use their selected layout for
a while, but have since redesigned their website again. |
 |
This is a concept for a talented magician who has been performing tricks
since he was young. I wanted to do something really professional
with a little flair. I always liked black and white with red. |
 |
This is a set of concepts for a site redesign. |
 |
This is a banner for a yahoo store. I had to get someone to do the
rtml for me, so I got the guy who wrote the book on it. The site
turned out great and the banner was just perfect. The site does not
seem to be online any longer. |
 |
This is a concept for a DJ. It's quite old. |
NEWSLETTERS |
|
 |
ANXIETIES.COM
NEWSLETTERS
Using a design to match his site, these are sent every two months
via Constant Contact. I've been doing these since 2007. |
 |
CONGRESS
JEWELERS NEWSLETTERS
Quarterly newsletters are sent out to members with articles about
jewelery and general company information. These are also sent via
Constant Contact; however the images had to be uploaded using their
interface and coding this was made more difficult because of that.
I much prefer to put the images on a server and reference them from
there. |

 |
CONGRESS
JEWELERS EMAILS
These are various holiday and contest emails sent using Constant
Contact. These were much easier to code than the newsletters due
to the much lower number of images. |

LOGO EDIT
This was a logo I edited for a client. He provided me with a jpg
and I had to work with that, but it turned out fine. |

MAPS |

MAPS
FOR REALTORS/DEVELOPERS
I have done so many maps for realty companies and real estate developers,
I couldn't possibly show them all. It is a time-consuming job, but
it's actually very enjoyable. I like changing the colors, adding
gradients and drop shadows and making the little road sign icons.
I suppose I'm easily amused. |
PHOTOGRAPHY |

This is a photo of my favorite tree after our first ice storm. I
made it into a card and sent it out to everyone online. |
